  • Prequalified Contractors for Dam Project. In accordance with the Request for Qualifications (RFQ), the following four Offerors were prequalified for the Leon Hurse Dam project. We genuinely appreciate the effort that went into each Statement of Qualifications.

Dam and Spillways

  • Status: Design completed, approved by TCEQ on July 3, 2020

  • Engineer: Freese & Nichols

  • Prequalified Contractors: Barnard Construction Company, Inc; Granite Construction Company; Kiewit Infrastructure South Co.; and, Thalle Construction Company, Inc.

  • Construction Procurement: Anticipate Construction Contract Award in March 2021

  • Procurement/Contracting Method: Competitive Sealed Proposals

  • Scope Includes: Dam; spillway; emergency spillway; outlet/intake structure; intake valves, piping and structure; dam and borrow area clearing

Roads and Bridges

  • Status: Negotiating TxDOT Advanced Funding Agreement & Fannin County Agreement

  • Design and Construction Procurement: Anticipate Procurement for Construction in February 2021; Anticipate Construction Award April 2021

  • Procurement/Contracting Method: Progressive Design Build

  • Scope Includes: SH 34 & FM 1550 relocations; improvements; adjustments and terminations of county roads; demolition of four bridges; removal of abandoned paving on SH 34, FM 2990 and FM1550; and clearing in roadway construction areas.

Environmental Improvements

  • Status: Mitigation Plan finalized and includes preliminary design of environmental improvements

  • Mitigation Design, Construction and Monitoring: On-Going

  • Procurement/Contracting Method: Competitive Sealed Proposals/Full Service Provider

  • Scope Includes: Final design, construction, monitoring, maintenance, and adaptive management of environmental improvements through acceptance by USACE

Clearing and Demolition
