FM 2990 bridge has closed, traffic being rerouted over new SH 34 bridge and FM 1550

To get to the temporary Ladonia Fossil Park, take the detour north on SH 34 from Ladonia. Turn left onto FM 1550 and then south onto FM 2990. The part will be on your left before you reach the river.

Fannin County, Texas — Upper Trinity Regional Water District, in coordination with Texas Department of Transportation – Paris District, recently closed the FM 2990 bridge over the North Sulphur River to traffic. The closure on July 8 was a necessary part of construction for Lake Ralph Hall. The roadway on either side of the bridge remains open to local traffic, and fossil hunters can access the temporary Ladonia Fossil Park via SH 34 and FM 1550…
