Road Relocations/Improvements and New Lake Bridge
To accommodate the new lake, several roads have been relocated and new bridges built. This includes:
- Relocations on parts of SH 34, including a new SH 34 bridge over the new lake
- Relocation of a portion of FM 1550
- Demolition of four bridges
- Adjustments to several county roads
Construction on these components began in spring 2021 and were finished in 2023. The re-route of FM 1550, generally along CR 3443 and CR 3444, was also completed.Â
