Progress on the Tom Harpool Water Treatment Plant Expansion
Behind the scenes, construction crews are hard at work on the dome roof of a new clearwell that will store drinking water at the Harpool Water Treatment Plant, part of the facility’s ongoing expansion from 30 to 60 MGD treatment capacity. Every step brings us closer to increasing drinking water capacity for our growing service area.

Your Watering Schedule Matters Now More than Ever
North Texas is in the midst of a long stretch without rainfall, and outdoor water use across the region is very high. To reduce the tremendous strain on our water treatment plants and the pumps that deliver water, we’re asking residents to stick to their assigned watering schedule and cut back further where possible. Every bit of conservation helps ensure we can continue delivering clean drinking water to our communities.

Do You Dig It? Ladonia's Fossil Day Is Back!
Mark your calendars: National Fossil Day Celebration returns to the Ladonia Fossil Park on Saturday, October 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Hosted by the Ladonia Chamber of Commerce and the Dallas Paleontological Society. This come-and-go event lets visitors search the North Sulphur River for fossils and get help identifying their finds from the experts. UTRWD is proud to support the Fossil Park that makes this North Texas tradition possible.
